TEMPUR® Dental Overlay
"Our Dental Overlay adds a new element to receiving dental treatments, and that's comfort,"
The Oral Care Centre is the first clinic in Singapore to import the Dental Overlay specially to enhance the comfort of our patients during treatment. Made with the revolutionary TEMPUR® pressure-relieving material, the Overlay, is created specifically to fit dental chairs.
Tempur-Pedic, known for its Swedish Mattresses and Neck Pillows™, made from TEMPUR®, a revolutionary, viscoelastic material that conforms to the body to provide support and help alleviate pressure points. The material, originally designed for NASA to relieve astronauts of the tremendous G-forces experienced during liftoff, provides patients with a unique, comfortable surface that can help ease the anxiety many associate with a trip to the dentist.
THE WAND
The CompuDent™ system (also known as The Wand) features state-of-the-art technology that makes painful injections a thing of the past. This revolutionary system, consisting of two main elements, the CompuDent™ computer and the Wand handpiece, features a pain-free approach to delivering local anaesthetic.
The traditional dental syringe has changed very little since its introduction in 1853. It is a difficult-to-handle item and its use frequently causes unnecessary pain due to the amount of pressure needed to inject anaesthetic. In the era of modern dentistry it would seem fitting to use computers to deliver painless dental anaesthesia.
The Wand is a computer-controlled dental injection. The flow rate of the local anaesthetic is controlled by a computer. This means that the injection is guaranteed to be slow and steady and therefore comfortable. Needle advancement is almost effort less penetration force is required. Researchers have found that the Wand induces less anxiety than any other injection method (Kudo et al, 2001). The precise control of flow rate and pressure reliably produces a comfortable injection even in potentially more "difficult" areas like the palate, where the tissue is less elastic.
Recovery cum Study Room
“For your comfort and convenience”
Patient comfort is of utmost importance to us. Feeling a little woozy after treatment and need that extra 5-10minutes of lie-down after a dental procedure? You can do so in comfort and privacy in recovery room with a designer chaise lounge dedicated for patient comfort! Or simply have a drink and take a breather.
Students who are waiting for their parents or ride can also rest or work in peace and quiet in our study. Busy bee professionals who need to access that important email or document can also do so here through our Broadband access while waiting to complete a procedure if necessary.
